| In-flight duty-free sales form an
important part of British Airways business, but in the
past the sales process was slow and accounting was difficult.
A compact battery-powered Point of Sale Terminal was
required, with a removable transaction memory module
designed to be acceptable by Customs and Excise. Barplus
has been in service for 12 years. |
| GX worked with a team of experts
from British Airways to design a terminal which was
precisely tailored to the needs fo the airline. A number
of working prototype units were built and tested prior
to full manufacture. GX have organised manufacture of
the terminals during the life of the product. |
