| Spontex Dish Mops are an all in one
dish cleaning system, with integral washing up liquid
dispensing. |
| Spontex came to GX following recommendations
from a Welsh moulding company. A number of concept designs
were produced as photo realistic renderings. The final
concept was developed using rapid prototyping techniques
and 20 vacuum cast models were produced for market research.
The models were cast in a transparent material and both
performed and looked like the real thing. The 3D CAD
data produced was used directly to produce the mould
tools. The whole exercise from design to manufacture
took only 12 weeks and after only 3 months production
levels are at 40,000 units per week. It is on sale in
supermarkets throughout the UK. |
