| Nimbus, who have led the world in
the field of CD mastering technology asked GX to design
a new DNA neutraliser. Neutra-plasma 50 was developed
to eliminate DNA contamination in laboratories where
complex research is undertaken. |
| GX designed a high-temperature plastic
container into which a quartz glass flask could be mounted.
The glass flask and lid are hollow and contain a mixture
of gases and mercury which when excited by microwaves
generate UV emitting plasma. UV has been proved to damage
and neutralise DNA. To decontaminate items such as microtubes,
the parts are simply placed inside the Neutra-Plasma
which is then exposed to microwaves in a standard microwave
oven. |
