| Energist have been manufacturing
VPL (Variable Pulse Light) based hair removal and cosmetic
skin treatment machines for a number of years. GX were
asked to originate a completely new housing, internal
chassis arrangement and appearance for their new range
of products. Using high intensity light instead of more
aggressive lasers, the hand held applicator is placed
directly on areas where hair is to be removed or cosmetic
treatment to take place. |
| The major market for the machine
is Japan where millions of pounds worth of export sales
have been generated. |
| GX utilised a modular system for
the front and side mouldings to minimise tooling costs
and give flexibility in terms of larger, or smaller
future product developments. By using a simple “3
box” internal structure, assembly and maintenance
times and costs have been greatly reduced. |
