Morecare have been manufacturing
and supplying patient hoists for over ten years.
The brief given to GX was to create
a modular system for their hoists whereby the same basic
elements could be used to produce a range of products.
The Solus range includes lifters, standers and combi
hoist systems, each available in three sizes and weight
capacities to optimise effectiveness and versatility
in a variety of locations.
All Solus models have a unique folding
facility which is in-valuable for transportation and
space saving requirements. With the increase demand
of hoist users to travel, a version is available which
makes transportation in small cars or an aircraft a
safe reality. All the hoists have been designed to be
as light as possible.
The GX design utilises aluminium
extrusions which are cut to different lengths to cope
with the different hoist sizes and a set of aluminium
castings and mouldings. No welding is used anywhere
on these products which has greatly reduced production
costs over previous Morecare products.
A number of patents have been applied
for, relating to the innovative ideas originated by
GX.
