GX utilise industrial and advanced
design engineering computer based technologies to move swiftly from
a product idea into production. From basic sketches ideas are developed
using 3D CAD including ProEngineer and Solidworks. The 3D data is
then used to produce rapid prototype models. Rapid prototyping techniques
include stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering(SLS),
fused deposition modelling (FDM) and rapid metal castings (MPA 30).
The 3D data can also be used to machine parts directly from solid
using both NC and laser milling. Multiple parts are often produced
using vacuum casting techniques.
