GX designs the
software for processor controlled systems including the BIOS,operating
system, application code, user interface and diagnostics. GX products
often include embedded control software in C and the aim is to achieve
very close integration of hardware and software design. This high
degree of awareness results in product cost reduction and performance
enhancement, for example by enabling a low-cost sensor or processor
to be used, or by reducing circuit power consumption. Standalone
software projects are also undertaken and many products also involve
an additional requirement for PC application software for control
or monitoring purposes. Wide experience has been acquired in many
types of CPU from 4-bit to 32- bit including DSP’s and in
a variety of programming languages and environments.
